Manya was a warm and caring woman filled with love and hope. She grew up in Dodge Center, Minnesota, and graduated from Triton High School in 1998. She attended Pacific Lutheran University, playing volleyball and earning a bachelor’s of science in psychology. She went on to gain a master’s degree in counseling psychology at Bethel University. Manya worked in management at Target Corp. since 2003 where her co-workers remember her as witty, outgoing and an outstanding worker.
Mayna died tragically from a domestic assault on January 6, 2013 at the young age of 32. She left behind her parents, 4 siblings and a beautiful 17-month-old son.
His daycare teachers describe Oliver as that child who “lights up the room. He has stolen all of our hearts. He deserves love, peace and hope.”
No one can ever replace his mother but we can join together as a community to support Oliver by providing resources for his education and other future needs. 100% of all contributions will go to benefit Oliver.

My thoughts and prayers have been and will continue to be with your family!
All of us at our Target store in Vadnais Heights were shocked and saddened by Manya’s tragic death. She was the sweetest. kindest person and deserved so much better for her life. I will always remember her for sweet smile and loving attitude towards everyone. May she rest in peace.
Thank you so much for setting up this fund. I was Manya’s doctor and I delivered Oliver. I was absolutely heart broken to hear what happend to her and have been looking for a way to reach out and help out in some way. I have been watching the paper for her obituary. Can you please tell me if there is going to be a memorial service?

Manya will truly be missed by all. Her smile was contagious and her energy was so positive. My heart aches for her family. My prayers that they may all heal and stay strong in faith. May Manya rest in God’s Peace.
Manya was a wonderful young woman who made the world brighter with her smile, her optimism, and her love of life. She was a student who loved each day, and every person she met was better for having been around he I have wonderful memories that shine through the sorrow at her loss. I pray that her son knows what an incredible person his mom was and that Manya’s family can somehow find peace in knowing that Manya made a tremendous impact on so many in her life. May God keep Manya’s family in His healing hands and bless her memory.
Our thoughts are with your family tonight. Remember that loves leaves a memory that no one can steal.
I knew Manya her whole life, being her oldest cousin. It’s true what they say…she always lit up the room. Manya was such a happy, enthusiastic, optimistic person. We all love you dearly Manya…
